Home Education

I have been meaning to sit and write a post on this for ages. Looks like I'm finally getting round to it...

We've always had trouble with Louie at school. He has never settled, nor enjoyed school. It used to break my heart dropping him off and leaving him either unsettled and sad or crying. I hated it and would spend the whole day feeling sad myself thinking about him and how his day was going. He was so stressed that he would go to bed and cry himself to sleep because he was dreading school in the morning.

In april I decided I couldn't take it anymore and I deregistered him from school. Just the look of relief on his little face when I told him he no longer had to go to school made it worthwhile for me.

He is honestly a different child. I have loved having him home and Frankie loves his company too. Now that I have had Toby we are going to start getting involved in some Home Ed meet up groups and we are hopefully starting up our own local one too so we have exciting times ahead :)

I will keep you updated on our journey!

Frankie turns 3!

On July 25th we celebrated little Frankie's 3rd birthday. I honestly can't believe how quick these kids are growing up, I really wish time would slow down.

We surprised the kids with a bouncy castle, they were thrilled. Since baby Toby was only a few weeks old we had decided to just get a bouncy castle for our own kids and have a nice garden lunch rather than a big party.

They all had a fab day and were shattered by the end of it. As you can see below, little Toby just slept through it!

It's a BOY!!!

I haven't had chance to pop on here and update in a while as I just haven't had the time. And truth be told I have totally been babymooning and making the most of every minute with my newborn. Yes....my NEWBORN. Baby is here!

Our beautiful baby boy, Toby Klae Williams, was born on July 6th (a whole week overdue!) at 3.45am. I had my second home waterbirth and it was another amazing experience. Very quick as my first contraction was at 12.45am and he was born at 3.45am. He weighed a massive 9lb14.5oz!

I had just gas and air and the pool for pain relief. We had the lights out, candles lit and some lovely natal hypnotherapy birth music playing. it was very relaxed. My midwife, Mary, was amazing and totally made me feel safe and at ease. We were actually her first proper birth since she officially registered as a midwife so I am really glad it was a great experience for her, she was so pleased and on a huge high!

I had a natural third stage. This is something I had never done before as I have always had the injection to help the placenta along. The contractions for the placenta were as bad as the ones before Toby arrived but I'm so glad I had a fully natural birth. I did have a small tear but it was allowed to heal naturally on the promise I would sit with my legs together for 3 days. No problem, I planned on doing nothing but resting.

We are all totally in love with little Toby, he's so squidgy and cute. Time is flying by, yet it feels like he's always been here.

Olivia's First Musicals Show

Olivia took part in a drama club at school. Just before Christmas they put on a stage show. Their take on the west end musicals. It was a fab show, I loved it. They did songs from Grease, Mama Mia, We Will Rock You & more!
