A quick catch up!

Hello folks! It's been a while since I got on here to update!

Well since Frankie's birthday (and my last post, sorry I'm rubbish!) we've had the summer hols come and go. Didn't they seem to fly by?!

So, yup. All the kids are back at school. Louie has settled into reception pretty well. He sure enjoys it better than he enjoyed nursery. We've had no tears so far, which believe me is an achievement!

Olivia has settled fine into year 5, and Charlie into year 6. Yes! YEAR 6!!!! Oh my goodness he starts high school NEXT year! We have already had his forms to apply sent home. How did he get so old?! How did I get so old?! *groan. Honestly I remember him being a babe in arms like yesterday!

Frankie also started nursery on September 3rd. He is doing morning sessions at a private nursery near the school. He starts at 9am and he finishes at 12pm. He gets to have his lunch there as they eat at 11.30am. They get such good meals there, like a proper dinner and pudding. He loves his food, so I imagine he absolutely loves it when they sit down to lunch and he gets these lush full meals thrust at him. The timing is great too cos it means I can get all the household stuff I need to do done. Then pick him up and, as he's all fed and watered, just have a nice playtime with him until its time to pick up the elders from school. In reality, he usually gets home and crashes out until 2pm lol.

He really shocked me as he has never ever EVER been left. Not even for an hour, infact not even for 10 minutes. He has always had either me or his dad there. I really thought we would have a hard time settling him. But do you know what? He LOVES it! We have not had one single tear and he pretty much pushes me out of the door! I am so glad about this as we had such a hard time settling Louie and it was so tough. I really didn't want to go through that again.

At first I felt a bit redundant and I would come home and do housework that didn't even need doing. I think I was just trying to keep my mind off how quiet the house was. It really was very strange. But I am now slowly starting to enjoy my free time.

So that's it. A 'quick' update that turned into a rather long one. Nothing too exciting to report though.

Hubby is still on his security course. He's had some pretty fab work placements. He did a work placement at a rugby match, he did cleck fest and he very nearly did V-fest which would have been amazing, but sadly, it didn't happen. This weekend he is doing security at the MINT dance festival in Leeds. This looks a pretty awesome event. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a wee bit jealous!

That's pretty much it. We are still waiting for Frankie's operation date, so no news on that front which is getting a bit frustrating now. As I am sure everyone will understand that we just want it over with now.
